Paul Walker Dead

We just hate to write about things like that…

Paul Walker has passed away in a horrible car crash in Santa Clarita on November 30.

Paul has been passenger in a Porsche driven by his friend Roger Rodas (owner of a car customization shop in Santa Clarita) who also lost his life in the tragic accident.

Paul and Roger had raced cars together in the Pirelli World Challenge series already and took the race car leaving the Reach Out Worldwide charity event in Los Angeles.

Apparently Roger lost control over the Porsche Carrera GT at high speed and crashed into a light pole and tree which lead to the car burst into flames with the two men still inside.

Paul Walker‘s rep released following statement following the sad accident:

“It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organization Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend’s car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences. – #TeamPW”

The Fast And The Furious actor was only 40 years old and what makes matters worse, he’s leaving behind his 15-year-old-daughter Meadow Rain Walker.

The news of Paul’s tragic passing made fellow celebrity friends expressing their sadness on Twitter:

Is your avatar real? Because if it is, you look pretty similar to Paul in the above photo. RIP Paul Walker

Hello Katy. Yes, it’s me in the avatar. Everything else would be fake. Thank you for the comment as I take this as a huge compliment. Although I wouldn’t dare to compare myself to Paul as I think he was amazingly good looking and, what’s more important, according to the people who had the pleasure to know him personally, also an extremely nice person. It’s really a shame that he had to pass away at such a young age. Unfortunately the saying that the best die young proved itself right once again. All the best to you Katy. RIP Paul Walker

Hello Laura. Thanks for commenting. I understand that you’re sad about Paul’s passing. I’m really humbled about this similarity thing but at the same time think we should emphasize more on the fact that a reportedly very kind person tragically lost his life rather than on superficial things like appearance. All the best, Jay

I never said that I’m not thankful for being compared to such an attractive person. I just wanted to keep focus on the fact that this is a very tragic event and that Paul Walker was more than just beautiful on the outside as all people who had the pleasure to know him say that he “was a genuinely good, sweet, kind, laid back, loving person” to steal Olivia Wilde’s words. Thanks for commenting and all the best, Jay

There just went the only reason to watch fast & furious as a girl :’( #TeamPW

Hi Shaina. Now it’s going to be much harder for fans of The Fast and the Furious to convince their GF’s to go to the movies with them to watch it. Thanks for commenting and all the best, Jay

Like it or not, on the pics you do look similar. I haven’t been a fan of Paul but I nevertheless think it’s really sad even more as he had a daughter of 15 years which is a horrible age to lose a father. Nensi xxx

Hi Nensi. I never said that I don’t like the comparison, quite to the contrary. I just wanted to suggest that the more important thing to concentrate on in this tragic happening might be the fact that a kind person who wanted to help people in need lost his life. You’re right about his daughter being probably in the worst age to lose her father. But then, is there really a good age for that? Thanks for commenting and all the best to you, Jay xxx

jay, u r surely right but u can’t forget that he was in a superficial line of work living in the most superficial city in the world….. but still, very sad in deed RIP

Hello. I think acting is a pretty tough and deep job, at least if you want to be good in it. About LA being “the most superficial city in the world” I think it’s always what you expect and what you’re looking for. I personally met some of the nicest, sweetest, coolest, etc. people I know there. Thanks for commenting and all the best, Jay

Hello Mike. Nothing lately. I was just telling about my personal experience. Overall I think you can meet people you like and others you don’t no matter where. Thanks for commenting and all the best, Jay

I think you’re right. It matters way more what one has done and/or achieved in his/her life than the way he/she has looked like. And Paul was the founder of charity Reach Out WorldWide which helps people after major natural disasters around the globe. @VinnDiezel nuff said! #RIPPaulWalker

Hello Jessica. Let’s hope that Paul’s charity keeps on going strong even after he’s gone. Thanks for commenting and all the best, Jay
